Why we route OTP over tier-1 carriers

A one-time password is only useful if it arrives. Here's how LuxaOTP thinks about delivery, failover, and the unglamorous work of reaching a phone.

Delivery is the product

When someone asks for a verification code, they expect it in seconds. Everything else — the API, the dashboard, the docs — is in service of that one moment. If the code is slow or never arrives, none of the rest matters.

That's why we treat delivery as the product, not a detail. LuxaOTP routes messages over tier-1 carrier connections, the same infrastructure banks and large platforms rely on, rather than the cheapest available path.

Failover, quietly

Networks fail. A route that works perfectly in one country at 9am can degrade by noon. So every message has a fallback: if the primary path doesn't confirm delivery quickly, we retry over an alternate carrier automatically.

The sender never has to think about this. They call one endpoint; we handle the routing, the retries, and the receipts behind it.

Measuring what matters

You can't improve what you don't measure. Every message carries a delivery status and a timestamp, and we surface median delivery time per country in the dashboard — because an average hides the countries where you're actually struggling.

The goal isn't a pretty chart. It's knowing, at a glance, whether your users are getting their codes.
